During the week especially from Monday to Thursday, I am so busy with teaching that when the weekend comes, I just want to stay in and catch up on the sleep I’ve lost. Sometimes I wonder how other teachers have the time and energy to travel to different cities or just go out every weekend.

I recently came to the conclusion that balance is imperative to my happiness here. I don’t want to be all about working without having fun even if it is just to take a simple stroll around my neighborhood. This was what I chose to do last Sunday. I called up my Spanish friend to explore Casa del Campo; a nice part of Madrid where there are trails for jogging/riding bicycles, a Warner amusement park and Cable cars. We chose to ride on the cable car that day.  It was a simple yet joyful experience. Watch this cheesy video on how we spent our Sunday.
